John D. Lester
Finley Engineering is proud to announce the addition of John D. Lester as VP of their Energy division. John is an accomplished leader in municipal utilities with 25 years’ experience directing and managing Electric, Natural Gas, Water, Wastewater, and Fiber Optic utilities. He will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Energy division out of Lamar, MO. Prior to coming to Finley, John was the General Manager of Clarksville Connected Utilities.
John has provided leadership on solar power plants that led Clarksville to become the first city in the state to power all of its government operations with solar energy. He has led initiatives to guild ultrahigh speed fiber optic networks for Utility, City and County Government, Hospitals, Schools and Universities. During his utility career he has worked as a Marketing Director for Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power in Crawfordsville, Indiana, as the Members Services Director for the Missouri Public Utility Alliance (MPUA), a power and natural gas agency and trade association for municipal utilities, and as City Manager for two municipalities in Kansas and Missouri.
