Project
Chariton Valley Electric is an electric distribution cooperative in Iowa that had embarked on an aggressive construction plan to address areas of their system that needed attention due to load growth and outdated facilities. System Improvement projects were implemented for construction work plan years 2005, 2006, and 2007 to address this aggressive construction plan.

Solution
Finley Engineering provided environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, right of way clearing contracts and observation, surveying, design, material specifications, contract documents, project management, field inspections, construction staking, invoicing, and other services for approximately 56 miles of distribution construction.

Outcome
Finley Engineering successfully completed the system improvements for Chariton Valley in the planned years from 2005 through 2007 and additional system improvements projects have been requested and are in progress.
